I am lacking time. Here are the applicable recalls for meat and poultry. Click on the dates to find out which retail stores have them. http://www.fsis.usda.gov/Fsis_Recalls/Open_Federal_Cases/index.asp Notice that most -- NOT all -- are now found before they get out to the public which is a big improvement over recent years. That indicates that the USDA and FDA are beginning to rebuild and improve after the too extreme administrative cut-backs during 2001 - 2007 or so (when all heck broke loose because the cutbacks were making it impossible to find a large number of very serious risks by then so many made it to shelves in those years). Now the problems finally are usually being caught before the public is exposed. That's a major but quiet improvement that helps us all and our critters, too, so which should make all smile, knowing all are getting safer again. I don't know how much more improvement is needed to get back to the very high level of safety which existed in 2000 (not perfect, obviously, but still very good back then).
