[log in to unmask], 4 Apr 2010 01:21:51 EDT550_- Yesterdays mail stopped my heart and made me laugh until I cried.
The mail came, and with it and handful of cards from the Easter Card
Exchange. I opened the rest of my mail saving the best for last, and<6 prints of your pet and I'll also
e-mail all the good shots to you. All the money goes to Feral Cat
Rescue and Old Dog Haven. The Dec 19th Ballard photo revenue will all
go to Purrfect Pals Cat Rescue, the Northwest's largest no-kill cat
shelter and where two of my cats were adopted from. [...]46_12Nov200923:19:

[log in to unmask], 13 Nov 2009 12:16:19 EST396_- Okay ferret folks....time to 'fess up. When your ferret poops on the
floor do you:
1) immediately run for the bleach and sponge?
2) wait until it dries because it is easier to pick up?
3) do a daily "poop patrol"?
4) do a weekly "poop patrol"?
5) move the area rug to cover it up and wait for your significant
other to "discover" it? [...]36_13Nov200912:16:

[log in to unmask], 13 Nov 2009 00:08:23 -0800532_- Have you recently switched foods? I had a ferret with symptoms like
this a couple of years ago and it ended up he was simply starving
himself since I usually fed them a mix of Totally Ferret and Innova
Evo and had run out of the Totally Ferret.
I brought him to the vet thinking he had something going on and the
vet did several tests and everything came up fine. Then it dawned on
me about the food. On the way home I picked up Totally Ferret and he
ate voraciously and continued to do so for a few [...]46_13Nov200900:08:

[log in to unmask], 13 Nov 2009 13:40:28 -0800493_- I have been making a mistake for the past 2 years, and have just now
realized it. It was either 2 or 3 years ago my ferrets had ear mites.
So I got a bottle of Tresaderm from my vet, the bottle was not cold
to the touch when it was handed over to me so I did not think about
it needing to be kept in the fridge. Well my bottle has never been
kept cold and my mite meds are most likely bad, or very weak. So I
have to decided to change ear mite control products. Today [...]46_13Nov200913:40:

[log in to unmask], 13 Nov 2009 22:41:02 -0500563_- My little guy, Loki, had adrenal surgery today and seems to be doing
well (although still groggy from anesthesia). We were given Metacam
liquid in syringes to give one dose each day for 5 days. I am a "human"
nurse, who works in ICU and now the OR, so after I have looked up this
medication, I am not sure this is strong enough to keep my little dude
comfy (it is a big ole' Motrin). Don't even try to give a human (with
vocal capabilities), who has had abdominal surgery, this weak ass
stuff. Do vets give locals (marcaine, [...]40_13Nov200922:41:
