I should also have mentioned that bird, ie chicken, bones, and mouse
bones are much thinner and easily broken than human bones which are
very dense. So yes while a ferret will break thru a chicken bone when
eating or even a mouse bone, a human albeit baby finger is a whole
different material- even a very young baby whose bones may be more
pliable but not more breakable. Remember these bones were broken off-
the fingers were gone- A ferret did not do this- as also evidenced by
the fact that they found no human material in the ferret's stomach and
it was killed supposedly in the act of chewing off and eating finger
number 7-
The misinformation out there will now cause perhaps thousands of people
to surrender their ferets and prevent hundreds of adoptions. The harm
to the ferret community will be felt for a long time.
