After retrieving the stash of kongs, I was able to pull off bits of
rubber on both the red and the black kongs. The only part vulnerable to
it was the top, where there is a nub around the small opening. I took
a pair of scissors and cut off the whole part that was frayed/chewed.
I'll keep an eye out but it looks like on both kongs, this is the
culprit area, and once it's cut off I don't see any other problems
but I'll keep everyone updated as they age.
