Good Morning All,
This is the photo of the year as far as I am concerned.....
A friend in rescue emailed me a note and told me the AP has a
photograph of an Ashley Stephens in Joplin MO holding a ferret she
rescued from a destroyed home....folks there is absolutely nothing left
of this house in the background -- nothing! No word of the owner's
condition or whereabouts....at least not at the time of the photograph.
I have talked to several people from the local news people up there and
one of their reporters will look for her and the ferret she found. And
rescue group from Memphis has left for Joplin today and will look for
this ferret and others to see if they need transport to safety if their
owners are missing or deceased.
Unfortunately, I am not a computer wizard but if you Google --Ashley
Stephens holding a rescued ferret in Joplin MO-- you will get the links
to the news report and the AP photo.
A word of caution...it will make you cry....reminds me of Jeffrey's
ferrets, Zeke and Peetey, as this was the scene when rescuers found
Jeffrey, his boys, and the doggies in Smithville MS last month. The boy
and his pets found under rubble of what was their house before the F5
hit that day. Miracles happen even in the worst of times....miracles
are found.
God bless and we in the mid-south pray for all in Joplin and continue
to pray for Tuscaloosa.
Maren Qualls and the fuzzits in MS....still hanging in there.
