Dear Fellow Ferret Lovers!
I have recently discovered an excellent book written by a very well
respected ferret doctor, Dr. John Rossi of Riverside Animal Hospital
in Jacksonville, FL. I think it is an excellent book for every ferret
owner and has reference in it that can't be found in any other book.
Here is the synopsis from the author:
What's Wrong With My Ferret? is the first reference you should consider
when you have a problem with your ferret. You will find everything you
need to know to get a handle of most common problems associated with
captive ferrets. This book will guide you through everything from
behavioral problems and first aid to how to handle things such as old
age. There is even a list of items recommended for a ferret first aid
kit. It is written in such a way that almost anyone can understand when
and how to treat some common problems yourself and advises you of the
point at which you should consult a reputable, experienced
veterinarian.

Besides my review, here is what Judith White of SOS has to say about
the book, "What's Wrong With My Ferret? is a quick and usable guide
to many ferret illnesses and conditions in one small book. It would
be very valuable for anyone who has not had extensive experience
with ferrets. The book has helpful photo illustrations and clear
descriptions. The style is professional and yet accessible to the
non-vet. Even the long-time ferret owner could use it for a rapid
reference tool to be sure they are on the right track, especially for
problems they have never personally experienced with their ferrets.
Someone who does a lot of their own medical care would want more
detailed descriptions, but it will do a good job of educating everyone
else ... and getting people to take their ferrets to the vet when they
need to! I definitely recommend the book."
I have been able to make a special arrangement with the author, whom I
know personally, to help market this new book. I am able to sell the
book to you at the cover price of $11.99 WHICH INCLUDES FREE SHIPPING
and HANDLING within the United States. I can also ship internationally,
but S&H would be on a case by case basis. Essentially, your price
through me should be about $3.00 less than through buying it directly
from the author (the price from the author is $14.98) AND any profits
made will go to a good cause as it will help defray some of the costs
of my rescue.
If you are interested in purchasing a book and helping the rescue at
the same time, please send your PayPal payment of $11.99 to
