My two daughters asked if I would bring our two carpet sharks to "show
and tell" in their classrooms ( 3rd and 4th grade). Since ferrets have
just become legal in NH this year, I'd like to spread the GOOD word for
a change and maybe ward off some ignorance while their minds are still
young.
Does anyone out there have any experience with presenting ferrets to
elementary level kids and if so, would you have any information on
where to get some leaflets and/or pamphlets that are geared toward
the elementary level and show our slinky furries in a positive light
(something we already know!).
I haven't set a date yet but both teachers have given the ok sign so I'm
kind of waiting until I can find some positive literature to hand out.
There are still anti-weasel forces here and their presence known (TV
news, newspapers, etc.).
Any help would be most appreciated!
Just like to add that Weasie and Farrah are doing well (I haven't written
to the mailing list in quite awhile...). They just got a new sleeping
bag and Weasie looks like a camper, all she needs is a campfire! She
sleeps on her back with just her head sticking out, nose to the air!
Farrah burries herself at the bottom of the bag and only comes out
for air, water or food.
Speaking of Farrah, we're talking one lazy weasel! When she sleeps bundled
up in a towel, she doesn't even come out of the towel for a drink, she
licks the bottle spout THROUGH the towel!
Well, thanx in advance to anyone who might be able to help with literature.
