I read a few posts about ferret allergies. When we were first
introduced to ferrets I found out that I was allergic. Well... the
problem was that we bought ferrets / cage / everything ferret related
AND we fell in love with them. When I was younger (six or seven) I was
VERY allergic to cats... no issues with dogs though. I was allergic to
guinea pigs too. I think over time my allergies have faded. I don't
break out in a rash and my eyes don't swell shut when I pet the ferrets
any more. I don't know if I built up a tolerance? I don't know if
others would do the same? I know one thing is for sure... ferrets are
a permanent part of my life.
