I spotted this on MAKE Magazine this morning. Instructables has
step-by-step instructions for a DIY Ferret Wheelchair.

I also noticed that they had instructions for a Dachshund wheelchair,
which you might be able to adapt to a ferret, although I'm not sure
how well the harness in that design would work.
