I am going to be in Australia in August and September. I'll be in
Melbourne for a week in September and traveling before that.

My critters have to stay home, of course, but is there a possibility
that I could get a "ferret fix" while in Australia? I still don't know
where else I'll be going or what I plan to see, but if ferret folk are
in any major centers (like Sydney, perhaps), and would be willing to
say hello, drop me an email. I'd appreciate it if you could recommend
sites to see in the area as well, but I'm sure I can find that
information online.
