Dear SS,

Before I tried anything that had fumes or toxic materials, I would
generously dust a section of one room with garlic powder. If the
beetles leave, you are home free. I have used cedar chips with fleas,
but the ferrets do not get along with cedar, so that is not an option
for you. I have used garlic for many things, and the strong odor will
not kill them, they just pack up and move somewhere else.
