It was a lovely day at de Bridge. SaraFerret had been so very busy
lately that she decided to just hang around de cottage doing nothing at
all, except to pick up toys. Alas, a never-ending task with two kits.

Then she heard a knock at her door. She looked up, and dere was Mimi,
de little girl greeter, with a note in her paw. She said, "SaraFerret,
I noticed that your door was wide open so I just decided to knock. I
hope that I am not disturbing you. I know that you have been very busy.
The Boss has received a message from a Missy Laryssa who said that
their Daphne passed a while back but they forgot to ask for a greeting.
But now they want you to go check on her. Is there anything you want
me to do?"

Mimi handed me de note and I studied it. Hmmm, no date on when she
passed or anything. so me and Mimi went off to check in de Boss's Big
Book of Ferrets. "Okay" I thought. "It can't have been too long ago."
I got to the D's and then to the Da's and finally to the Dap's. Lotsa
Daphnes. Who woulda thought. There finally I spotted a Daphne belonging
to a Laryssa greeted by Forsythe and de wing color. Oh happy days, now
I knew where to go!

"Hey Mimi, you wanna go with me to check on Daphne?" I asked. Well
needless to say, she agreed. So off we went thru de strawberry patch
down de road till we got to Laryssa's Place.

I knocked on de door and a small fuzzy opened it. I asked him if Daphne
was home. He said dat she had just left but if I hurried I could catch
her on de path to de Otters' Mudslide. Okay here we are on de path (do
ya get de picture--dooking like fools) "Daphne, Daphne, where are you?"
Then we got a reply. "Here I am.". dooked a small voice. And sure
enough we were almost on top of Daphne, Mr Peepers, and Noelle. "What
did you need," she asked. "Well, we had a message from your Mommy who
wanted to know how you were doing." "Oh really," she replied. "Let me
run home and put my wings of silver and pink on so Mommy will see how
pretty I look." Back to de cottage we went.

After all that and a bit of primping up (after all who wants to look
bad for her photo-op) we went down de road to de Misting Pond and sat
down beside de cool clear water. With one swish we saw a vision of
Mommy Laryssa with Jasper, Rebel and Daisy appear. Daphne got so
excited she started waving and dooking with all of her might.

"I love you Mommy. Thank you for loving me. Thnak you for rescuing me.
I feel so much better. I have beautiful wings now and I can fly. It
is beautiful her and I have lotsa places to run and play and oh this
mudslide is something else. I met some new friends here that were your
ferrets here that said they knew you really well, so I am not a bit
lonely."

Then she started throwing hugs and kisses and wrapped dem with all of
her love and laid dem on a nearby shooting star which was headed to
your house and by de time you should read dis it should have landed
dere. And with another swish de vision was gone.

So we left dere, Daphne and I were invited to go to de Mudslide with
them. We looked at each other and knew we didn't have anything else
to do, so we took them up on dere offer. What a fun time!

(Oh yes, in case you are wondering about Forsythe, there are many
bridgegreeters at de Bridge. Surely you don't think us three can
greet the hundreds of ferrets who cross every day. And not every
bridgegreeter is posting to de FML)
