|Also, anyone hear of a "Dagu"? The "new" wonderpet from S-America
|that looks like a fat chipmunk but is more like a hampster?

My sister-in-law, Ailsa, works at a pet store and is in charge of
rodents. She has been raising hamsters and guinea pigs at home.
She has had two Dagus over the last 6 months. A Dagu is just about
the right size to fill a coffee mug (normal sized mug, not Greg's).
They have strong over-sized front teeth - sort of like a beaver, but
not as extreme. If there is any particular need to extend the scope
of this mailing list to cover such beasts, I'm sure she would not
mind being consulted.
