SaraFerret (and Sandy, since you sent a greeting too),
I am very greatful for the time you take to greet and accustom new
ferrets to the Rainbow Bridge. Things have been crazier than usual
here, now that Frost isn't here. The group had diarrhea for the first
two days, some even going on the cage shelves. Though that's passed
now, Mandie is still taking it hard. She has taken to sleeping alone
and destroying toys and bedding. All the kit did was sleep and play
with Frost, not much bothering about her calmer middle-aged cagemates.
I am trying to discover a new hyper-active friend for Mandie (before
she destroys everything the ferrets own). Even Ayla has developed
a prolaxed rectum since last Monday, when Frost left us. Holly and
Charlie got upset, though they didn't live with Frost and were rather
afraid of him; I suppose anxiety and stress can be contageous.
We found a place to bury Frost, where the ground was not as frozen up
against our apartment. We'll plant some sort of white flowering bush
there in the spring.
Frost may have never stood still, but I will certainly miss the
profusion of kisses I'd get every day.
And you gave him wings? Do you know how much more trouble he can get
into now? I sincerely hope he's one of the best troublemakers you've
got and that he has allot of fun at it!
Dooks from:
Humans: Lori and Shawn
Ferrets: Rhys, Ayla, Codo, Mandie... and even Holly and Charlie
Reaganne, the big gray cat, really, really wishes you'd come back to
play with her and Mandie, Frost.
