What can be done for a ferret who you think (pretty sure) has IBD?

This guy is doing pretty well but I think he feels pretty bad some
times. He occasionally (once a month or so) will act like he is trying
to vomit. Stools range from mud like to normal.

We have him on .5 ml 1 mg/ml of prednisolone with 1/8 tablet once a day
of pepsid ac. We also give his prednisolone with some uncle jims duck
soup.

I would just like to get him to feel better if I can. He rests most of
playtime. He moves around but not a lot. His sugar is okay last check
was 150.
