Ferrets used in Labs in California

Looking on Monster for animal care jobs, I saw this:

"candidate will deal with ferrets and rodents."

That's great. So we can't have them as pets, but they can experiment
on them. And because they are illegal, likely none can go home with
workers or go out of state to new homes after studies are done. What
a world.
