Alex I am allergic to hobs. It's never been a major problem, but when I
had a shelter and had unneutered males, they could give me mild asthma
symptoms. If I went to ferret shows, breeders' homes or other places
with large numbers of hobs, it would be worse.

I have no problem with females (whole or spayed) or neutered males.
