Petco went form exclusive MF ferrets to regional preferences ( cost
cutting measures I presume).

Very recently the local NH PETCO's here have switched back to MF from
Triple F / Canadian due to temperament issues. Unfortunately that is
NOT the only change in Petco re: ferrets... oh I wish they would stop
selling them.

Locally no longer can folks try to re home their purchased ferrets
thorugh PE$TCO... and a NEW POLICY regarding the Petco Foundation and
financial grants-- the new policy will be overseen by another agency
for PETCO. The new outlines state that they will only support "stand
alone " shelters meaning as far as I know , NO ferret shelters will
qualify for monetary assistance through PetNO.

Just one more unfriendly action to ferret rescue caretakers they
burden.
