I have a 13 year old female cat. We recently moved to Seattle and her
eating habits changed dramatically. She cries constantly for food
then pukes. I tried changing her diet to moist food then back again.
Hairball treatments and food. Then I noticed her weight dropping. She
was always overweight so I thought this was a good thing. So off to
the vet and after blood work revealed hyperthyroidism. The vet thinks
Methimazole will help. Surgery isn't a financial possibility and I'm
also considering her age. Any advice or facts out there?
