Wind & Willows Ferret Rescue receives no governmental assistance and
we accept elderly, adrenal and hospice ferrets without question. We
are hoping to help the majority of our adrenal rescues by providing
Deslorelin implants. In order to import and provide much needed
Deslorelin implants for our numerous adrenal ferrets we are having to
come up with the money up front (understandably). All told the cost to
implant all out ferrets is still less than 3 adrenal surgeries. For
surgeries we usually make payments or use care credit. Neither option
is available for these implants. Our vet has estimated a cost of $90
per ferret and the implants can last up to 2 years.. so this is
definately a cost effective choice.
