protrusion in his spine on two vertebrae. They are looking over the CT
scans again but say they can not operate as it very likely would not
get him to regain use of his legs. He has some movement but mostly pain
response and I don't see how aleviating the pressure would not allow
for regaining of motor function. It's been less than 3 weeks since
the lameness was severe. In people, they do conservative treatment of
anti-inflam meds and if that doesn't work, they move onto surgury. I
