It serves as a somber reminder of two very important things to remember
in the event of a home fire:
1. Take what you can the FIRST time you exit a disaster in your home
as you will probably not get a chance to get anything else out.
2. NEVER go back into a burning building. What you didn't get out the
first time is probably already destroyed and you endanger not only
yourself, but others who must now put their lives at risk to help you.
