We took our female ferret to the vet on the 28th after noticing her
knee to be a bit swollen and her limping on it.
Xrays were taken, he said her knee was gone and that the mass that was
there looked alot like bone cancer seen in dogs But he's never seen it
in a ferret before.
A few days later it got noticably bigger, now 2 weeks later it looks
like the size of a small walnut and is hard like a rock. The ferret is
eating, drinking normally. She was hobbling around on it and yesterday
my husband noticed her drag it,but when she got it under her she
hobbled on it. She does sleep alot due to being older. Her behaviour
is the same.
She dose not appear to be in pain and isn't sickly so we kind of don't
agree with the cancer diagnosis.
Has anyone experienced this?
JJ
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas
