Yes, I know several people who are allergic to ferrets. And since we
have had a specific ferret allergy test in Sweden since 1997 I know
that's what they are allergic to.

In this case, is it possible it's a reaction to something which arrived
at the same time as the ferrets themselves? Seems like the reaction
came very soon and unless previous ferret exposure that doesn't seem
typical for allergy.
