I too would be very interested to hear what other people's experience
has been with Deslorelin, and I hope this is something that can be
shared via the FML so everyone is as best informed as possible when
making a choice between Deslorelin, Lupron, surgery, etc.

My Oliver had been on Lupron for about two years before it quit
working. I got a Deslorelin implant just over three months ago, and it
had no effect. We are now considering Melatonin to help control his
symptoms and help him to feel better (e.g. reduce itching). Ollie is
7.5 yrs old.

It may be that the effectiveness of Deslorelin is reduced, the longer a
ferret has been on Lupron (which attacks the disease in a similar way).

Does anyone have other info or guidance to share?

Thanks,
Susann Thiel
