Taurine (or L-Taurine) is an amino acid that is present in MOSt ( but not all)
cat foods. Research done by Dr. Kawasaki and associates indicates that ferrets
raised on a diet devoid of Taurine (or lL-Taurine) develop problems with their
visual accuity and with their heart. The food I refuse to sell (and the store
manager supports me in this) is "8-IN-1" ferret food. I substitute IAM or Bil-
Kitten Foods.I feed Kitten food til they're 2-1/2 or 3 and then switch to
Iams Cat food (dry). They're 'free-fed' and between 4 of them, eat about 1 cup
a day.

ps: Chris, I'm still getting garbled messages
[What do they look like? Send me one. This pretty well has to be
something at your end.]
