Have you recently switched foods? I had a ferret with symptoms like
this a couple of years ago and it ended up he was simply starving
himself since I usually fed them a mix of Totally Ferret and Innova
Evo and had run out of the Totally Ferret.
I brought him to the vet thinking he had something going on and the
vet did several tests and everything came up fine. Then it dawned on
me about the food. On the way home I picked up Totally Ferret and he
ate voraciously and continued to do so for a few days. Within the week
it seemed his weight was already back to normal. Since I'd had seven
ferrets at the time I just hadn t noticed he wasn't eating at all.
If you haven't switched foods he could also have just decided he no
longer likes what you're feeding. Separate him in the cage or put
him in crate with food/water/litter and see if he's eating.
