Not to take anything from Travis's award for his fantastic work with
the BFF and it's reintroduction efforts... Big time "AttaBoys" are in
order for Travis for his selfless giving in this monumental task. But
I have to ask one important question. Is this the same USDA agency
that is behind the poisoning strategy for the Prairie Dog (and hence
destruction of the BFF's main prey item)? If it is, then perhaps they,
as an agency, have finally seen the light so to speak and changed their
basic mission statement to more align with that of the USDI Fish and
Wildlife Service. I sincerely hope this is the case in the matter and
that the agency has 2 hands that each know what the other is doing
(something rare in federal agencies these days.

Let's all applaud Travis for his work, but keep a sharp eye out for
potentially lame, dangerous agency decisions in the future that could
further impede or even endanger the BFF recovery effort.
