Hello fellow fuzzlylovers. You know, I would read posts about ferrets
and their "stealing" habits, and would wonder if I had actual ferrets,
or if they were aliens from another planet, because NONE of the fuzzies
that have shared our home have ever stolen, snuck, hid, or even TRIED
to sneak something and hide, or play with it. They have thousand of
toys around the house but none of them seemed to interest even ONE of
my fuzzies. Until.
Yesterday. When our newbie, Lil' Miss - was seen dragging a rubber
squeaky toy into her "loft" apartment. She took one. Then she took two.
When I saw her with a third in tow, I got all excited!! I called my
hubbie down to show him what was going on! We were like _ "Aw, isn't
that cute"!!!? Finally! A Fuzzy who will play with the toys! And that
went well. No fuzzies seemed to object. They were all happy campers and
not bothering with her at all. Until. MoJoMan saw what was going on. In
the evening, I caught him in their cage (everyone free roams together
now) - sneaking out her rubber shoe! Lil' Miss was sleeping when this
was going on. Then he went back for the squeaky otter. At which
point......yep, you got it. It squeaked. I have never seen a ferret
come out of a deep sleep on an instant - and take off at a dead run.
Unfortunately for her, she ran straight into a wall. Laughing
hysterically, we watched as she shook her head and made a beeline for
MoJoMan. i've never seen a ferret "leap tackle" either. Lil Miss leaped
on his back, chomped on his ear until he let her toy go. She then
grabbed it - picked it up and I swear to God - she shook it like she
was killing, it, in MoJo's face....as if to say: You touch my squeaky
again, and next time it will be YOU who I grab and shake!. This ended
the "squeaky theft" for a while.....but who knows what they'll do
today! I'll keep ya'll posted.
Kim and Her Army of Idiots
Lord, help me to be grateful for what I have, and not greedy for what I
want.....
