Most vets give two antibiotics to combat ulcers, not just amoxi. I do
not think you will have much luck with just amoxicillin.

Also it can take up to 6 weeks to see improvement. One week is far too
early to tell, but I think you need to ask your vet why he is not
giving two antibiotics.

Usually Metronidazole is prescribed along with the Amoxicillin. Also
important is giving the carafate half an hour before meds. Any sooner
and you will risk her not getting the benefit of the antibiotics.
