Edward wondered what the symptoms of uroliths are. Typically, difficulty urinating OR difficulty defecating. It's not unusual for a person to suspect there is an intestinal blockage, but the reason the ferret looks constipated will be due to the bloated bladder pressing on the intestines to the point where they are narrowed. When natural feeding make sure that whatever is provided actually IS balanced enough nutritionally. In here are some articles I found including one really cool study in relation to this topic (and in at least one link there are more mentioned so be sure to CUT AND PASTE ENTIRE LINKS SINCE PARTIAL ONES WILL NOT WORK) if you expand the messages by clicking on Expand messages which is in light blue and small font so hard to see but Yahoogroups has never changed that poor design choice which is hard for many of us to see: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/ferrethealth/message/9262 Sukie (not a vet) Recommended ferret health links: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/ferrethealth/ http://ferrethealth.org/archive/ http://www.afip.org/ferrets/index.html http://www.miamiferret.org/fhc/ http://www.ferretcongress.org/ http://www.trifl.org/index.shtml http://homepage.mac.com/sukie/sukiesferretlinks.html [Posted in FML 6230]
