We have a 5 year old female ferret who had Adrenal Surgery last
October. She used to have a bald head , arms, legs, tail and belly. Her
hair on her body was thinning. All the hair returned to her head, arms,
and legs. The hair on her tail is slowly coming back and the hair on
her belly that was coming back is going bald again. Her vaginal opening
was protruding before but had returned to normal but now it is starting
to protrude again.
It was her right adrenal gland that was involved and the vet could not
get all of it because of the vena cava.
It is beginning to look like her adrenal disease is returning. I don't
know if it is the remnants of the right adrenal disease continuing or
if maybe the left adrenal gland is now becoming involved.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? We will be taking her back to
the vet soon, I just thought I'd find out if anyone had any ideas
first.
Thank you
Mike
