If your ferrets were truly in such poor physical and mental condition
prior to your diet changes, there was a whole lot more wrong with them
than just a kibble diet. I have owned ferrets for over 15 years, and
have had in excess of 50 move through my rescue, and have never seen
any in the condition you describe unless they had been neglected. And,
a few weeks in a safe environment, with good care and companionship,
turns that around in nearly every instance.
