I take Fimo "Soft" modelling clay, it comes in bricks at the store for
a couple dollars, you knead it in your hands for a few minutes and it
becomes soft. Press that into a circle or whatever shape you want and
press your baby's foot/paw into it. Oven bake for the time on the
package and you have a pawprint that is rock hard, and more durable
than any other medium I can think of. It gets so much detail you can
see little hairs or fingerprints...but leaves no residue on your
ferret's paws.
