Early in the FHL or shortly before it in the group of us which preceded
the FML there was a list member who let a ferret roam in the car while
traveling and the ferret got under an essential pedal. I can't recall
if it was gas or brakes but the person was unable to make a critical
change in speed to avoid a car accident. The ferret died if I recall
right. The person lived but was seriously injured and later posted.
