Over to Vahalla. On the other side, over rock, river, sea and ridge,
traversing the Rainbow Bridge, ye Godlike Ferrets.
The assumption of room temperature down from 102 degrees Fahrenheit of
your deceased ferret bears the implication that Theresa Brewer's song,
Crossing Over the Bridge, may have some meaning on just how well one
truly loves one's ferret Without love your pet may sink forever into
the sea and not make it to Valhalla, on the other side.
Not a problem with most of us.
The sea, river or ridge is crossed by the rainbow bridge, a bridge
of deathless life in the runic legends of the Norse and the thematic
prose and music of German composer Richard Wagner's composition, Das
Rheinegold (the Rhine river's gold).
The Gods enter Valhalla as Wotan halts for a moment and from the
orchestra there thunders forth in an impressive cadence, the motive
of the Sword (Nothung), the sword through which the god hopes to win
salvation. Then, while the gods continue across the bridge to Valhalla,
the theme of the Rainbow is heard, majestic and glowing in iridescent
beauty. This thematic music is unforgettable once having experienced
hearing it. Perhaps Wagner at his finest.
Froh says to Wotan, The bridge home will bring you, Light but hardy of
hold. So tread undaunted Its terrorless height!
Oh, yeah, and bring your ferret too. The music of the Rainbow Bridge
is enrapturing.
Nota bene.
Brave warriors dead and dying, are carried by Valkyries across the
Rainbow Bridge to their reward of total healing and eternal life as
gods in the clouded mists of the towering castle Valhalla, where great
feasting, joy and happiness reside. Kinda like a retirement home for
heroic veterans, it is, assumably with their ferrets in tow
