Barb,

I know where you are coming from. I have been there with all my
ferrets, especially the ones that people give up. It is hard to see
them go down hill. I took in 3 from a friend that was unable to keep
them. She came to see them once in a while, then they went down hill,
each time she left, they thought she was taking them home. The last
time she was here, I lost the last two in matter of days. The last one
his eyes were so shining and he was looking around and they thought I
was just putting him down for no reason, until I remove the blanket
from his body, they was so shocked. I did everything I could to keep
him from leaving me, I love those babies, I still cry.

To this day, when people ask to come to visit their ferret I say no! I
explained that they will mourn for you and die from a broken heart.
Yes, I am being mean hearted person. But I know what is best for the
ferrets.
