Well, I don't know if it is an Old Wives' Tale, but it sure is an
Incompetent Staff Writer's Tale, and IT IS NOT THE ONLY MAJOR ERROR
IN ONLY 8 PARAGRAPHS.
If this is a representative sample for that site then forget using a
grain of salt and use a boulder instead.
This reminds me of when I was an undergrad and the girlfriend of one
of my friends, who was employed by a major encyclopedia company, wanted
me to provide her with the content for a section on volcanos because I
was taking primarily geology and biology courses. Would it not have
made a lot more sense for her to find an actual expert like at least
one Physical Geologist or a Volcanologist? They weren't exactly hiding.
And, no, I did NOT provide her with info beyond telling her who to
contact instead of me. She also suffered from ISWS (Incompetent Staff
Writer Syndrome) which can lead to ISWT.
