According to the rules the submission is only the first step. If
several people close to Travis filled out and submitted the nomination
he could qualify.......first round judging .....

Level of commitment to the cause, including time devoted - 30% of total
score;

Level of accomplishments and impact of the actions - 30% of total
score;

Inspirational value of the actions on others - 20% of total score;

Sincerity and credibility of the statement - 20% of total score.
The ten Nominees receiving the highest scores will be declared the
potential Finalists. In the event of a tie, the Nominee with the most
unique story, in the judges' sole opinion, will be named a Finalist.

The second round of voting is public voting......."verified Finalists
will be posted at www.animalplanet.com/hero for voting by the general
public."

FML members should be able to handle that :) So how bout you folks that
know Travis and his personal info submit him so FMLers can bombard
Animal Planet with the popularity vote. Wouldn't this be awesome!
