We use Revolution once a month during mosquito season. Approved by our
vet and by other prominant vets online (see Ferret Health List
archives).

Kills ear mites, fleas, ticks, and prevents heartworm. The proper size
to use to prevent all of these, including heartworms, is the cat 5-15
lbs. size. Heartworms are spread by mosquitos, which is why we use it
during mosquito season.
