Most vets have an office fund for strays or other animals brought in or
are affiliated with a fund through the local vet school. I know that my
vets usually make a donation to the various funds, and I get a notice
that a donation has been made, when they euthanize a ferret for me. It
doesn't say how much. You may want to ask the receptionist if there is
a place they support and if so, make a donation in their name. They get
the notice and the needed money goes to help needy pets or students.

And, they all love cookies - homemade!
