For those of you who did not know, Squirrels are 'nearsighted', like
Ferrets to some extent. How many times have you been driving, and saw
a squirrel begin to cross the road in front of you? Then they STOP in
front of you! They stop to see what their next move should be because
of this strange object (car) approaching them. I`ve unfortunately hit
a few over the years, and almost hit X# of trees trying to avoid
them!,... until I tried one thing.....SOUND! As you are approaching
them, before & when they stop, BLOW your car Horn, long & LOUD, as you
slow down. They usually will bolt back or continue on, but in 'high
gear'!! LOL......They are pretty tough little guys, but they need a
little extra help when it comes to roads! Personally, I think they are
quite "NUTS!!!" (sorry `bout that one..) lol......
Dooks to all,
John Rich & the n.j. gang of '1', USA.
