Hi all. Thanks again for all the advice I've received. Bowser is really
perking up his appetite. He's put on a little weight and he's eating on
his own, but only baby food and a little of the new various duck soup
recipes I'm trying out. I get sad sometimes though because he used to
tear around the house and now he's slow moving and doesn't play. I hope
he can recover enough to want to dance again. sigh
Thanks Joelene for the adrenal email. I dealt with adrenal about 4
years ago, but we had surgery because it was really advanced. Luckily
at that time we had a wonderful vet in Spencerville, OH who helped us
out like he helps out the ferret shelter there. I've checked Hannah
over and she is plump and happy. I wonder if the hair loss could be the
change of season or excessive biting. I'm going to watch her for a bit
and consider melatonin medication if she continues to lose hair alot.
On an up note my little girl Indica is as healthy as can be. She was
adopted from a family in OH before I moved here to FL. Her sister
passed away last year. Since my move to FL in 2005 I lost my best boy
Pippin, then Isis, then recently Zira. After all the ferret sickness
I've been through in the last 2 years it's easy to forget to talk about
the wonderfulness of healthy Indica and her curtain climbing, purse
looting, plushie hoarding and treat mongering. Now that's the good
ferret life!!!!
