I had 2 babies I got from the McKay bunch and Simon, the deaf panda
kept picking on Alexander the albino. They were both about the same
age, but I don't think they were cage mates. He'd just grab poor Alex
by the scruff of the neck and shake him! He was even abrasing the skin
and he had scabs on the back of his neck - so I bought some Bitter
Apple (you can get it from a pet store or online) and kept spritzing
the back of his neck w/it. Simon realized he didn't taste very good and
left him alone! They get along just fine now (and are over 1 yr now).
Sometimes Simon will try to attack Alex on the back of the neck, so I
just make sure Alex has a spritz of Bitter Apple on him (spray him
maybe twice a day) and then they just play together nicely I think
Simon, being deaf, can't hear the squeals and doesn't realize he's
hurting Alex. I dunno, but the Bitter Apple works!!
