i got them home around 6:30 tonight. :-D

the oddly named 'cream' is actually almost a black sable...very dark.
i'd already imagined his name would be changed to 'burleigh'...so named
for the placer (gold) mining claim our house sits on, and also the
mining tunnel at the end of town. and he's a big, bumbling, burly boy.
;) just what i was wanting.

'jj' has become 'shay', or 'shay-shay' (since it sounds kinda like his
given name). 'shay' is the model name of the steam engines that used
to run on the narrow-gauge railroads, like the one up here. he's a
cinnamon-y sable darling, with a white tip on his tail, white toes,
and monstrously long whiskers!

i'm so blessedly lucky...i took a chance and put all 4 of them together
right off since they seemed like they could handle it. no fighting, no
squawking, they played like they'd known each other forever, and last
i checked were sharing/swapping hammocks amicably. wow. max and pixie
took right to them, tiny pixie's been keeping busy grooming each of
them. :::shaking head in amazement:::

so, so far so good! :-D

is there such a thing as putting new and old ferrets in together too
soon?

i hope not...i will be checking for green slime or any other anomalies.
