We have arrived in Libby, MT. We managed to cross the Missouri river
just in time as there was water covering at least one lane on each side
of the highway. The crews were putting out orange barrels. The winds
through Wyoming were perfectly awful. But we are here, the tear drop
trailer has been planted at the Hook-U-Up RV Park, and we hope to begin
digging a hole for our house soon.
Note to Coburns: Do not send ferrets. There are ferrets already here.
We brought Macadamia, the little DEW that we picked up last year in
Oregon, and she enjoys being ferret ambassador. Everyone who meets her
has a story to tell about a ferret, some we would rather not hear. I
suppose that this means that we will once again be involved, to some
degree, in public education and sheltering. The animal rescue group
here welcomes input, and of course, help.
Mac is also enjoying cruising through the spring grass and flowers.
Tulips and lilacs are blooming and there was snow here last week. We
hope that summer is here to stay (what happened to spring?) as it is
difficult to excavate and pour conrete in snow and mud.
