NOT SAFE: lime (not limes and not Lyme for anyone confused by that)

Lime (calcium oxide) is strongly basic (alkaline) and will likely cause
chemical burns if used in such a situation.

It's a LOT different putting it in a litter box compared to putting it
on a dung heap that is a way from animals. Some tissues are more
sensitive to such burns such as eyes, but serious injury could happen
anywhere to a ferret from trying that and it could also lead to a
poisoning situation.
