Dear Ferret Folks-

What an amazing few weeks it's been. The husband kicked the old
computer to death. (I don't blame him, we had a hateful virus and I
wanted to do the same but he beat me to it.) Then I hurt my knee
jogging, (Piece of advice--don't run unless you are being chased) and
spent a week with a cane, followed by two weeks on crutches. (With no
computer. MISERABLE!) Then my mother had surgery and came to visit for
a week. My Mother *hates* ferrets. (Oboy.) The new computer is here,
my knee is a million times better. No more crutches. Life was looking
good, even though my Mother was compelled to spend about six hours
every day watching Fox News. (Bleaughh!!!)

Life was looking very good.Too good, apparently. I think maybe I thrive
on crisis. So yesterday, just to ratchet up the pressure, I accidently
slammed my left index finger in the door of my husband's huge pick up
truck. Right when I had a writing job for the new Ferret's Magazine
website. Writing, as in typing. (Oboy, again.) Got that done with nine
fingers, dropped Mom off at her house this morning. Sat down to look at
my ten million e-mails. (My guest room is my computer room, so I was
barely on line during my Mom's visit, and not at all when waiting for
the new computer.)

It occurs to me that my address book is still wrapped inside the guts
of the computer that my husband executed! I am hoping that if you are
one of the people used to hearing from me, you will write me so that I
can add your e-mail to my new address book! Plleeeeease, I miss you!
Where is Al the Spook? Kim Fox and her psychic powers? Julie
Coddington, she of the wonderful brownies?

Spring is here and it is a feast for the soul, but I miss my ferret
friends. It's not the same without you.
