Could someone post more information please? Who was the breeder?
Where was the ferret bought from? Has the store been notifed? Was
the breeding farm notified? How were the ferrets transported? Was
the transporting company notified? Were all the buyers notified?
How was the diagnosis confirmed?

The reason we need more information is because other ferrets in that
group and any transported with that group were exposed, the people that
bought the ferret also can expose others since the distemper virus is
airborne, and any kits in that shipment can expose other ferrets when
they are bought. It's a vicious cycle.

Vaccinations are not 100% effective so it is imperative this
information be released to the public.
