Because rabies vaccinations are mandatory in most places, I would
suggest that anyone whose ferret cannot take the vaccine obtain a
letter from the vet explaining that for medical reasons the ferret
cannot be vaccinated. This will prevent a lot of hassles (but maybe
not all). My vets have always given me one when my fuzzies were not
able to be vaccinated.
